Fax David Valadao

How to address your fax to David Valadao

By convention, correspondence to a U.S. representative is addressed to “The Honorable David Valadao”, with the salutation “Dear Representative Valadao”. Postal mail and courier deliveries reach the office at: The Honorable David Valadao, U.S. House of Representatives, Washington, DC 20515.

What to include

• One issue per fax. Reference a specific bill number or regulation if you have one — offices sort mail by topic, and a one-issue fax is far easier to log under the right topic than a three-issue letter.
• Your name and mailing address. House offices prioritize constituents; an address in California (ideally within District 22) signals your position should be counted as a California voter.
• Keep it to one page. A short, specific message — what you want the representative to do, and why it matters to you — is far more likely to get a full read than a rambling three-pager.

Why fax still works for House offices

Security screening delays physical mail to Capitol Hill by weeks, and email forms bury individual messages. Fax arrives the same day with a timestamped transmission record, which is why offices — and the advocacy groups that track them — still publish fax numbers. Sending online, you get the delivery confirmation without a fax machine.
