Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect

PerPageFax does not require an account. We collect only what's needed to process and deliver your fax:

• Recipient fax number — where we deliver your fax
• Email address — optional, used only for delivery confirmation
• Uploaded documents — the files you attach
• Cover page text — optional message
• Technical logs — IP address, browser type, device (standard web server logs)
• Usage metadata — page count, delivery status, timestamps, fax ID

2. How We Use Your Information

Your information is used only to provide the Service:

• Deliver your fax to the recipient number via Sinch
• Send delivery confirmation if you gave us your email
• Process payment through Stripe
• Provide customer support
• Improve the Service using aggregate, anonymized metrics

3. Service Providers

We share data only with providers needed to run the Service. Each is contractually obligated to protect your data and use it only as we instruct:

• Sinch — fax transmission and delivery
• Stripe — payment processing (PCI DSS Level 1)
• Resend — transactional email
• InstantDB — real-time fax status tracking
• Render — application hosting
• Cloudflare R2 — temporary document storage (auto-deleted within 24 hours)
• Sentry — error monitoring

4. Payment Processing

All payments are handled by Stripe, a PCI DSS Level 1 certified processor.

We never receive, store, or see your full card number or CVC. Stripe gives us a tokenized payment reference and the last four digits of your card for receipt purposes.

5. Document Handling & Retention

Your files are transmitted to Sinch for delivery and temporarily stored during processing.

• Files are stored only long enough to complete delivery and are automatically and permanently deleted no later than 24 hours after upload, regardless of delivery status

Transaction metadata (fax ID, recipient number, page count, status, timestamp) is kept for business records and dispute resolution.

If you provided an email, it's stored only with that specific transaction record.

6. Data Security

We protect your information with industry-standard measures:

• Encryption in transit. All browser-to-server traffic uses HTTPS (TLS 1.2+). File uploads and fax transmissions to Sinch are also encrypted in transit.
• Encryption at rest. Temporarily stored documents are encrypted.
• Minimal data. No accounts means no passwords, profiles, or stored payment methods to protect.

No system is 100% secure, but we take reasonable and appropriate precautions.

7. Cookies

PerPageFax does not set any cookies of its own. There is no account, no login, and no tracking.

Payment is completed on Stripe's hosted checkout page, where Stripe may set its own cookies.

8. We Do Not Sell Your Data

We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your personal information with advertisers, data brokers, or any third parties for their own purposes.

Your documents, fax numbers, and email addresses are used only to provide the Service.

9. HIPAA Disclaimer

PerPageFax is not HIPAA-compliant.

Do not send protected health information (PHI) through our Service. This includes medical records, patient data, or any information regulated by HIPAA. Use a HIPAA-compliant fax service for such documents.

10. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• Know what personal data we hold about you
• Access a copy of your data
• Correct inaccurate information
• Delete your personal information
• Not be discriminated against for exercising these rights

To make a request, email [email protected]. We'll respond within 30 days. Since we don't use accounts, we'll verify your identity using your fax ID, email, or recipient number.

11. Children

The Service is not for anyone under 18.

We don't knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact [email protected] and we'll delete it promptly.

12. International Users

PerPageFax is based in the United States.

If you use the Service from outside the US, your data will be transferred to and processed on servers in the US. By using the Service, you consent to this transfer. We take appropriate safeguards to protect your data during transfer and processing.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the date at the top of this page.

Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated policy. Check back periodically.
